Greetings all Padawans, comrades and homies!

Featured in this post is a nature diorama inspired by Star Wars. It is homemade with love, sweat and spasmodic hands by our great Moss Lord in celebration of The Geek Daily Collectibles Con Intergalacticon last May 2023, a 5-day event that we decided to be a part with after a (somehow) long hiatus.

What began as a humble pile of moss and miniature dreams quickly evolved into a full-blown Jedi swampscape, equal parts terrarium and tribute. The centerpiece? A wise and weathered Yoda mini-figure from our personal stash, quietly presiding over a forest floor of tangled roots and galactic debris. If you’ve ever wondered what Dagobah might look like if it were tucked behind your grandma’s garden shed, this nature diorama might be your answer.

If you follow us on Instagram or Facebook, you may have caught a glimpse of a few other creations. We usually work with live moss. Because dead moss is just sad. The full story is still unfolding and while this nature diorama wasn’t for sale at the event, it became a quiet mascot of our return to the con scene. Time wasn’t on our side for prepping this kind of merch. But this little green haven stayed with us, reminding us that not everything needs to be monetized to be meaningful.

Still part of our creative cache, this nature diorama may not look quite the same anymore. But it remains unlisted, unbothered, and possibly plotting its next appearance. Or maybe it’s just a relic now. We’ll let the bog decide. So, whether you're a Padawan, a moss whisperer, or just someone who appreciates a good nature-meets-nerd mashup, we’re glad you dropped by. May your Fridays be slow, your hands be muddy, and your Force be strong. Happy Force of July, until next time. Stay weird, stay rooted.
